The West Australian built Paddle Steamer Decoy (PS Decoy) is an iconic entertainment venue cruising the Swan River for nearly 30 years. The Decoy has a licensed bar and a licensed kitchen, serving food and locally made beers and wines during our cruises. To view our current drinks menu, click here.

If Perth has a Diva of Soul it would have to be Shameem. This Soul Sister has rubbed vocal chords with the best of them including George Benson, Michael Bolton, Belinda Carlisle, and Anthony Callea. Shameem has also performed all around Australia, Canada and now finally on the Decoy!

Joyce Mathers boards the PS Decoy again to deliver a relaxed and easy style that will take you on a journey of the legend that is Peggy Lee, a performer considered on equal terms with other legends such as Billie Holiday, Mildred Bailey, Ella Fitzgerald, and Bessie Smith.

Led by Joyce’s soulful voice, Joyce and Avenue will immerse you in the Grammy Award winning styling of Peggy Lee with big band showstoppers, pop ballads and soulful laments such as “Why Don’t You Do Right?,” “Fever”‘ “I’m a Woman,” “Lover,” “Pass Me By,” “Where or When,” “The Way You Look Tonight,” “I’m Gonna Go Fishin'” and “Big Spender”.

Melting Beats are an aptly named quintet of Cool Cats because their instrumental technique melds perfectly with their lead vocalist Mary Emme. But then again, what else would you expect when each player hails from the WAPA stable and will bring years of entertaining experience. On this night the Melting Beats quintet will include Mary Emme (vocals), Valerio Fiorini (drums), Marc Osborne (sax) Tim Voutas  (piano) Jacob Mitchel (bass).

Join us for a Twilight Music Cruise and “Songs of the Moon, the Devil and the Night” performed by the Penny King Quintet. An all star cast which includes Ricki Malet (trumpet), Brodie Stewart (keys), Pete Jeavons (double bass), Daniel Susnjar (drums) and led by Penny King (vocals). This will be an evening and repertoire of things dark & devilish. From modern classics such as Henry Mancini’s “Moon River”, Cole Porter’s timeless “Night and Day”, through to Thelonious Monk’s haunting “Round Midnight”, this show has something for everyone, as Penny’s engaging stage presence, swinging style and impeccable phrasing takes you on a journey through dark treasures.

The Swan River Ramblers represent the finest of Perth’s musicians. Let us put it this way, if Perth had a musical royalty these guys would definitely be in the family – Pete Jeavons, Adam Hall, Ray Walker and Adrian Galante (no need for “Sir”, first name basis is still okay!)

You can expect all sorts of musical styles including Swing, Gypsy and Trad Jazz. and recognise some of the classical greats in their repertoire – Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Jellyroll Morton, Scott Joplin and George Gershwin as well as some popular modern artists.

Swingin’ At The Savoy are an energetic jazz/swing band playing upbeat jazz music from the 1920’s-1940’s and are another great example of the depth of musical talent in Perth. This 5 piece band features Randa Khamis as Lead vocalist , Barnabus Courtauld-Drums, Mark Wearing-Saxophone, Chris Dombrose-Guitar, Sid Hennessy-Double bass. Members of this band are well very endowed with accomplishments (click here for more details).

Welcome to Rasta Ferry with Dilip n the Davs – WA’s busiest originals party bands with an extensive repertoire of reggae/ska/funk grooves that get people moving. With 6 recording releases since their formation in 2008 and over 700 live performances, this eruption of rhythms have become well known for their captivating on-stage delivery. Both singer-songwriters, their quality originals and upbeat covers will have you dancing on the Decoy. Joined by the talented Dave Webb on various percussion, Smith & Walker’s sound will dramatically raise the goosebumps levels, feed the soul, and add more than a bit of magic to an afternoon’s cruise on the Decoy.
